Who Cares About Emo and Pop Punk Anyway? A Deep Dive With Raina Sinclair and Dick Move

Often maligned and parodied, both of these genres have gotten a bad rap over the years for being the "softer" versions of rock music with a harder and more serious edge. In this discussion and festival Q and A, Raina Sinclair and Dick Move seek to set the record straight and show how both of these off shoots of the punk family tree are not only legitimate, but also intertwined with punk and hard-core's nascent beginnings.

Emolesque Festival April 18-19, 2025

New York City has long been considered one of the birthplaces of punk. This year, Raina Sinclair, Noctua, and Regal Mortis want to add to that legacy by producing a first-of-its-kind burlesque, drag, and sideshow festival focusing on two of the genre’s most infamous offshoots: pop punk and emo. This weekend festival will feature two amazing nights of performances, workshops, a lecture, and a day market with vendors.

All ticket sales are non-refundable and WILL CALL only to be picked up night of performance, at our box office at 1208 Surf Avenue. TICKETS WILL NOT SHIP. There are no extra service fees for online purchase. Please check your junk or spam folder if you do not receive an email confirmation in your inbox.

Coney Island USA reserves the right to cancel a performance at any time. Advance ticket purchases will be refunded if such a situation arises.
