Johnny Meah will be inducted into Coney Island USA’s Sideshow Hall of Fame as a Living Legend on the opening night of this year’s Congress of Curious Peoples. On Saturday, join Johnny as Adam Realman sits down with him in the Coney Island Museum via Zoom, for an interview followed by a question and answer session.

Truly a man for all seasons, Johnny Meah has appeared as a centerfold in Life Magazine, done four appearances at the Smithsonian Institution, and has worked variously as a circus clown, a sword swallower, a fire-eater, and a singing drummer. At age 9, Johnny was billed as the 'World's Youngest Portrait Artist,’ and he traveled the fair and exposition circuit with his father, and was mentored by Hugo Zachinni, the original 'Human Cannonball'. Johnny served as technical advisor for HBO's award-winning series, "Carnivale," and his banners have graced the fronts of hundreds of traveling shows. Articles covering his career as a painter and entertainer have appeared in The Chicago Tribune, The Wall Street Journal, The Los Angeles Times, The Tampa Tribune, and many other national publications. Born in Bristol Connecticut in 1937, Johnny and his wife, Mary, currently reside in Safety Harbor, Florida, where he continues to paint and write. An author of four books, he is currently finishing up the second volume of his memoir slated for a 2023 release.
