Hosted by Carnivore AD frontman / comic book writer Baron Misuraca, CEMETERY CINEMA returns to Coney Island on Thursday, August 11th for its third installment - a terrifying WHITE ZOMBIE high definition screening event!
A 1932 pre-censorship horror classic directed by Edward Halperin, WHITE ZOMBIE is considered to be the first feature-length zombie film and one of the first independent films to be produced.
Following his succcess in Dracula (1931) and Murders in the Rue Morgue (1932), the legendary Bela Luosi stars in one of his most diabolical roles ever as the zombie master "Murder" Legendre!
On the subject of Dracula, large portions of WHITE ZOMBIE were shot on the Universal studios lot, borrowing many props and scenery from other classic horror films of the era.
After our screening concludes, a question and answer audience discussion, frightening facts segment and live monstrous music will follow!
